MHI Co-Founder in New Start-Up Position

Joseph Ricciuti and I co-founded Mental Health International in 2013, its mission, to advance workplace mental health across borders and help "connect the dots" between individuals and organizations for a greater net effect of efforts to managing issues and capitalize on opportunities.

We've had a productive year and it has been a real gift for me to have had the opportunity to work closely with Joseph on a day-to-day basis. Our partnership in mental health goes back several years, our personal friendship even longer than that.

It is, therefore, clearly with mixed emotions, that I wish to announce that Joseph will be stepping down as CEO of Mental Health International effective September 1, 2014, in order to assume a leadership role in the start-up of a new consulting company with a strong team of industry professionals aimed squarely at health-related organizational issues.

The new company, SEB Benefits and HR Consulting Inc. is a specialty services firm that will offer innovative consulting and technology solutions in the area of health, work and productivity.

For MHI, the good news in all of this is that Joseph will remain on our board of directors and we will continue to benefit from his enormous experience and judgment. He will also retain his public identity with MHI as our distinguished Co-Founder. I wish Joseph every success in this new venture and look forward to continuance of a personal and professional relationship that I value greatly.

Dr Roger McIntyre - July 7, 2014

Good Morning Everyone and Friends of Dr. Roger McIntyre:

As fellow Board Members of Mental Health International, we are so very proud of Dr. Roger McIntyre, and we are thrilled to announce that he has been named to the list of "
The World's Most Influential Scientific Minds Report" from Thomson Reuters.

This Report comprises 21 fields of natural, basic and mental science involving researchers around the world.

As Roger mentioned in the Report on the 5th US/Canada Forum on Mental Health and Productivity, there is a tremendous need in psychiatry for novel thinking and he is delighted that the role of metabolism (i.e. insulin) and neuroinflammation in the pathogenesis of mood and cognitive disorders is receiving the attention that it is, and that perhaps this strategic direction can help the lives of people with Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder and Dementing Disorders.
